We spent a week in Tokyo in July. The experience was exciting and somewhat disturbing.
A random playground.
There are a lot of things that seem weird.
We lived just next to Shibuya, the busiest intersection in the world. Also the Shibuya train station complex was pretty big and busy with its 2.5 million daily passengers. Depending on the platform used it took us 10-15 minutes every time to walk just inside the station. We had to take 4 lifts with the stroller. Up and down. Luckily our apartment host had drawn us a map out of the station.
We had rented a flat with a view over Tokyo! It was full moon.
The city had a lot of old and new close to each other.
Our stroller needed to be carried a lot.
We visited Kappabashi street that specializes in kitchenware!
There were even some Finnish things!
There were several shops for plastic display food. Spensive and not edible!
Fifty bucks each.
Don't leave this phone cover on a plate.
The oldest temple of Tokyo is called Sensoo-ji.
Dog stroller. We saw a few.
Tokyo Skytree and the famous Asahi-turd.
Geocaches were omnipresent.
In the evening we visited the view bar of Cerulean Tower in Shibuya.
Shibuya from above. There's a football field on top of the railway station.
After drinks we went to a game-hall! The venue wasn't as cheery as expected, as most of the people seemed gaming addicts.
Taiko-drums were the best!
DJ-game. This salaryman had professionally fast hands.
Real horse-racing is a bit too slow-paced, so here's a virtual one.
And if that seemed a bit old-fashioned, here's a larger virtual horse-racing hall, StarHorse3!
