So many special wards!

Tokyo consists of numerous "special wards", small cities that form Tokyo. One day it was raining so we started from Edo-Tokyo museum in Ryogoku.

The museum is quite large and has massive miniatures of the old city. Besides those, it tells surprisingly little about the history. At least in English.

A lot of miniatures.

The night soil replica was of special interest to the environmental engineer in our family.

Japan was looking towards Europe before WW

Famicon!

Next, the Totoro shop! There was also a Muumin-shop next to it!

Shopping in a trolley.

Then a stroll at the royal palace park. The district was, well, very calm.

Large empty streets.

Next day we went to Shinjuku.

Train stations had a lot of people.

We went to check out a huge department store.

It was opening time, and green tea was served for people waiting.

Scent of Scandinavia-brand. Kippis is Finnish for "cheers".

The city hall in Shinjuku has a free observation deck!

That's the destination.

View towards Shibuya behind Yoyogi-park. Cerulean Tower on the right side.

Lost in Translation-movie's Park Hyatt-hotel.

Takeshita Dori in Harajuku. Not as odd as expected.

We had a night out in Daikanyama and Naga-Meguro, which were just a walking distance from our flat.

Gasoline from the roof.
Daikanyama is a posh neighbourhood.

Politicians in Japan need to shout their opinions constantly.

Posh shop for accessories and wine.

Mina Perhonen.

We found a good small restaurant in Naga-Meguro and had drinks in Daikanyama.

A barbershop in Naga-Meguro...

... with band rehearsal.

The drinks were all good.

Until we spotted the slimy snails on all surfaces! Run!

This resto is open until 26!
All good!
