Tram museum!

There used to be trams in Brisbane back in the good old days! Enthusiasts have renovated some of the old stock from the end of 19th to mid 20th century and are keeping a small tram museum open for a few hours per week. The guides were excellent. And there was a private track to ride on!

Wow! The oldest trams were from 19th century.

Hop onboard!

Let's ride!

The same message is in modern local trains.

Travelling is so easy and carefree when you take a tram!

The interiors covered with original ads.

Volunteers gave a full history briefing during driving.

The old trams only had a single pole to connect to the overhead cable that needed to be manually turned when changing directions. This was a perilous task in the time before streetlights as the tram lanterns were off whenever the pole was disconnected so there was total darkness.

Enthusiast asking for more information.

There were also old trolleybuses and horse carriages!

A horse! These pulled the oldest carriages.

A kiss!

Bye!

Happy tram travels!
