Caloundra

25.-27.12.
For boxing week, we behaved like good Aussies and rushed to the beach - this time to Caloundra on the southern tip of Sunshine Coast.

Essentials packed by a 2 year old.

Santa must've been hot!

First things first: jumping!

Everything was closed on Christmas day, including the hotel restaurant. Luckily we had one pack of noodles and some fruit to share at dinner time.

Boxing Day morning: Happy Valley playground on the beach!

Toes to bar.

A pirate ship!
The strait between coast and Bribie Island is narrow and can have a very strong current depending on the tide.

The Pacific.

Glasshouse Mountains
Our hotel had a cool waterpark!

Two seals.

Tan.

During nap time we tried to be as efficient as possible:
Minigolf!

Hole-in-one!

Game room!

Beach side walk!

Low tide.
In the afternoon we did what's right on Boxing Day: we had a Christmas swim at Kings Beach. We had never seen this much people on a beach in Queensland!

Next morning we tried another beach: Bulcock Beach. In the ocean we met a Finnish grandma who had floated here already in 1989. The night before we met a vegan dog called Vegemite.

Jellyfish.
 Thank you Sunshine Coast!!
