Toss the mullet!

A festival means we're going! This one was at Sandgate and called Einbunpin festival.

The festival mascot "Bunpin" and a terrified bypasser.

Are we there yet? The train goes from our front door straight to Sandgate.

The festival was surprisingly large with 4 music stages and thousands of people.

Our friends Laura and Mark were playing.

Again there were pipers!

A tricycle for the child-minded.

An unicycle for the clown-minded.
The main event however was the mullet tossing competition! Mullet is a fish and the inspiration to the mullet hairstyle.

"The mullet fish has no neck and most human Mullet Heads achieve this same effect via excessive hair and musculature."

The aim was to launch the mullet into the tank.

A slight miscalculation of the mullet.

Wow, it flew backwards!

The judge was happy.

The crowd was shocked.

Andemaar getting a good launch!

Laura's mullet mid-air!

Babies weren't allowed to throw.

Johannes used a rotational method that ended up in a disastrous hit in the audience.

Luckily no one was injured and everyone had fun!

There was plenty of other things to see too!

A mute poet performing through an interpreter.

Masonic coffee.

A rescued bat.

Happy Scandinavians.

The festival was around the lake with eel!

Can you see any?

The baby enjoyed the people.

Instrusive bird statue.

Good night Brisbane! View from Dornoch Terrace near our house.
